A little bit about me

It all begins with an idea.

Born with a pencil in hand, I have always been driven by an insatiable desire to create. From my earliest days, soaking up every bit of art education available (lol before the internet was invented), to now, as I dive into the vibrant world of contemporary painting, my journey has been one of relentless exploration, hard lessons and sparks of joy.

My work is a celebration of colour, emotions, and storytelling. I use acrylic, pencil, ink, oil, and my hands to bring to life characters, subjects, and scenery that capture the emotions and challenges of our world. Inspired by the mountains, trees, animals, and people around me, my art is a reflection of the stories and emotions that fascinate me.

I create with the intent to explore emotions and stories, finding the light-hearted side of life and situations. My paintings are snapshots of magical and alternate possibilities, designed to be both beautiful and reflective. I aim to draw viewers into a world of quirky possibilities, where each piece brings a smile and a sense of wonder.

My art is crafted with bold, bright colours and a meticulous process, from surface preparation to the use of highly pigmented, lightfast paints. Every piece is handmade with the utmost care, embodying my diverse experience as a "Jane-of-all-Art-trades" or now as I better understand “neurodivergent” artist. My varied skills and perspective allow me to deliver everlasting works that inspire creativity and happiness in others.

I invite you to check out my blog, where I share my journey, experiences, thoughts, and processes. It's a space where you can get an inside look at my creative mind, and perhaps find some inspiration for your very own next creation.

Welcome to my world of dopamine decor, where art is not just seen but felt. Let's make the world a brighter, happier place, one quirky piece of art at a time.
